I started writing in 1993 after a career in the military. My wife LInda asked what I was going to do now that I had all that time on my hands. I said I thought I would become a writer. Don't ask me how I came to that conclusion but I went out and bought a new computer and got started. After a lot of rejections ( all writers have them) I finally was published in Lost Treasure Magazine. The editor must have liked my work because I did quite a few articles for them. The same editor gave me quite a few tips about how to become a successful writer. One of the tips was to learn how totake good photographs I had been fooling around with cameras most of my life so this wasn't much of a problem. I just had to learn how to take better pictures. Now after 15 years of freelancing I have managed to be published in a variety of national magazines and now have two books on the market.
